'We Journey With Jesus Beside Us'

Art Week Spring 1 2020

In Year 5 and 6 we looked at the work of Banksy. We research who he was, why he remains anonymous and debated if graffiti can be considered art. We also looked closely at the political messages behind some of his pieces of work. Afterwards, we practised our drawing skills working on outlines and edges. Then we moved on to created stencils- which is the method Banksy uses. Some of us even used photography to turn images of ourselves into stencils. Finally we all designed a final piece of work, inspired by Banksy, that related to current issues today (e.g. Global warming and the Australian Bushfires.)
